Dr. Nicole Better Green is an author and educator. She started her career as a school counselor in 1994 and has worked as a student services professional for the Maryland public school system for the past thirty years. She acquired her doctoral degree from George Mason University in 2010 in Higher Education with a focus on teaching and administration. She enjoys teaching and mentoring the next generation of leaders who want to inspire our youth. 

Dr. Nicole is a long-time mentor and advocate for youth and young adults. She has developed several mentoring programs, specifically for girls ages 5 – 18 years old to enhance their academic, social, emotional, and leadership development. She is also the author of two books: "My Truth: Testimony of a Teen Mom" and "Take Courage: A Story of Hope and Healing." Both books are inspiring stories about surmounting overwhelming circumstances. She is also a poet, and has written a collection of poetry called, “The Heart of a Better Woman.”
